Paolo Barsocchi received his MSc and PhD degrees in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2003 and 2007, respectively. Since 2003 he is Assistent Researcher at the ISTI/CNR Institute. He has been involved in many national and European projects: the EU FP6 Satnex, InterMedia; the Projects of Industrial Innovation (PII) National Industry-2015 EASY-RIDER, and the FP7 Integrated Project universAAL. He has coauthored more than 30 papers published on international journals and conference proceedings and he has been member of international program committees of conferences. His research interests are also related to wireless mobile systems and architectures, wireless channel modelling, indoor localization in AAL environment and multimedia communications and services in terrestrial wireless networks.
